This talk by Dr Gabor Thomas presents the results of a recent archaeological work prompted by the discovery of an early medieval warrior burial on the Berkshire side of the Thames, nr Marlow, and will conclude with some provisional thoughts on its wider impli cations for regional research agendas.
Dr Gabor Thomas is Associate Professor of early medieval Archaeology at the University of Reading. He has over 20 years’ experience directing major Anglo-Saxon settlement excavations, most recently at Lyminge, Kent and also has varied interests in early medieval material culture
