The House of Toomer

Phil Wood looks at the history of the House of Toomer. One of the oldest family businesses in Newbury, family members were associated with the town as bankers and ironmongers from 1692. Older residents will remember their shop on the bridge.

The Club meets in The Cloth Hall upstairs (lift access). Members free, visitors £3. Refreshments available after the talk in the Museum cafe downstairs.
