A guided walk within the largely pedestrianised town centre to see the sites which played a part in the two World Wars. This includes where the film 'The Battle of the Somme' was shown in 1916, where the Lord Mayor's coach was stored during WW2, and why the Emergency Bridge was constructed. Buildings, street corners and river bans all have a story to tell. Your guide Jane Burrell is a former curator of West Berkshire Musuem.
Tickets £5 per person. Each walks lasts about one and a half hours and has limited spaces. Walks start at the Corn Exchange. Book online or at the Museum.
