How to self-publish your local history research - Zoom webinar

A webinar by John Chandler. This talk will describe the steps needed to turn a local history tesxt into a self-published or society-published book. The various tasks - editing text, preparinf and captioning images, designing pages, indexing - will be explore, and then printing and binding options, financial aspects, dealing with booksellers, marketing, publicity and legal requirements. BALH Reviews Editor, Heather Falvey, will discuss the quality of local history publications from her perspective.

John Chandler chairs BALH's Publishing Team, has written extensively about West Country history, and is sole proprietor of a small local publisher, Hobnob Press.

There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
